Hailing from the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Daniel Griffith grew up surrounded by music. Like his parents and sister, he would join the choir and worship team at his local church where he gained most of his musical experience.
As a teenager, Daniel joined The Oratory Foundation where he was taught the basics of poetry, prose, and performance. Graduating into The Oratory Shakespeare Society, Daniel was introduced to the work of Shakespeare. Performing in plays such as 'King Lear' and 'Othello', acting became a staple part of his life.
After completing his BSc in Psychology, Daniel took a bold step and altered his life's direction by pursuing a career as a professional singer. As fate would have it, it was in this season that the casting directors of Disney's The Lion King would be holding auditions in Trinidad. Daniel is currently employed as an ensemble vocalist for The Lion King UK and Ireland Tour.
Daniel reminds himself before each performance, "Music has the ability to soothe and to heal, to strip away and to rebuild."
