Grease - Castleknock Community College

The show is set in the 1950s at Rydell High School and follows the romance between Danny Zuko, a “greaser” with a cool reputation, and Sandy Dumbrowski, the sweet new girl at school. Their summer fling faces challenges once the school year begins, as Danny struggles to balance his feelings for Sandy with his tough image in front of his friends, the T-Birds. Meanwhile, Sandy befriends the Pink Ladies, led by Rizzo, who has her own complicated relationships. The story plays out with lots of humour, teenage drama, and catchy rock ’n’ roll numbers like “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “We Go Together,” before ending on a high- energy celebration of friendship, identity, and being true to yourself.
